William "Bill" H. Collier

EAST HARDWICK: William "Bill" Herbert Collier 52, of East Hardwick, VT died unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

He was born March 10, 1972, in Morrisville, VT, son of Thomas John Collier and Linda Mae (Gomes) Clow. Bill graduated from Lake Region High School in Orleans, VT, in the class of 1990. Throughout his employment, he held a variety of jobs, including cutting Christmas trees and taping drywall. He enjoyed drawing, hunting, fishing, cribbage, gardening, and outdoors. Though he valued his solitude, he had a deep love for animals and cared deeply for his family and friends, always showing kindness and affection in his own reserved way.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Tia Maclure, of whom he was incredibly proud, and her husband, Jonathan, grandsons, Alexander and Elijah Maclure and grandchild on the way, of Newport.

Other survivors include his mother, Linda Mae Clow, and stepfather Roderick, of Hardwick; his father, Thomas J. Collier, and  stepmother Shirley, of Greensboro; siblings, Thomas M. Collier, and his wife Tracy, of Greensboro, Samantha Gillilan, and her husband Matthew, of Fletcher; aunts and uncles, Sharon and Mike Marchetti of Florida, Jack and Laura Gomes of Virginia, Richard and Dorothy Collier, of Arizona, and Guila Winn of Barton; along with nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.

A celebration of life will be held from 12-3 PM, on Saturday, December 14,2024, at the American Legion Post #7, in Hardwick VT.
