Tonya M. Langdell

Tonya Marie "Yaya" Langdell, age 47, of Hardwick, unexpectedly passed peacefully at the home of her parents, on Thursday December 26th, 2024.

She was born on December 20th,1977 and was raised in Hardwick. She was one of two children born to Archie and Roberta Hodgdon. She had an in-home daycare for 10 years, worked at Greensboro Nursing Home for 8 years, and was currently working at Lamoille Home Health and Hospice.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved helping others both at home and at her place of work. She was fond of country music and concerts. She found joy in soaking in the summer sun.

Tonya was a nurturing mother, giving daughter, caring sister, proud Yaya, selfless wife, an amazing niece and a great friend. She took each and every title seriously and made sure all of her love was felt.

Tonya is survived by her husband of 23 years, Brian Langdell; her daughter, Madison Langdell; her son, Matthew Langdell; her stepdaughter Taylor Smith and her spouse Tayler Mansur; her parents, Archie and Roberta Hodgdon; her mother-in-law, Sharon Langdell; her grandparents, Rosie and Raymond Cleveland; her brother Archie III " Bunker" Hodgdon; and spouse Danielle "Danzi" Hodgdon;  nieces and nephews, Mercedez "Sadie" Hodgdon, Gavin Hodgdon, Carter Durgin, Remington "Remi" Hodgdon, her great nephew and favorite little man, Asher Hoy, along with many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 2PM until 4PM at the American Legion Post # 7 in Hardwick.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Hardwick Fire Department, P.O. Box 1279, Hardwick, Vt. 05843.
