Norman Earl Allaire

East Hardwick: It is with great sadness to the family to announce the loss of Norman E. Allaire, who passed away at his home at the age of 98 on November 30, 2025, peacefully with loved ones by his side.

Norman also known as "Pops" was born on Feb 15, 1927, in Elmore to Peter and Helen (Foss) Allaire. Peter would later remarry Gabrielle, and between them had 8 children.

He joined the military, Army PFC as Ammo Bearer for 2 yrs. and Airforce SGT in the 2500th Medical Squadron as a Surgical Technician for 6 yrs. During his time in the military, he met his wife, Maxine Baker. The two would later have 10 kids together. Later he worked for Joe Trombley at the Christmas Tree farm, the Lanphear farm and Northeast Farm Service with his family for many years.

For those who shared the honor of Pops' presence would completely agree, he was a giving man and not one for materialistic things. He was an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great, grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, pruning and harvesting Christmas trees for people to enjoy for their Christmas celebrations. The local fairs were a big hit with Norman, and he loved bringing his grandchildren to enjoy it with him. Having quality time with his children and the many grandchildren was a special joy in his life. He could make friends wherever he was and will be dearly missed by all.

Norman was predeceased by his parents Peter and Helen Allaire; stepmom Gabrielle Allaire; former wife Maxine Stacey; brothers Phil Allaire, Donald Allaire, Marcel Allaire and sister Lea Daily; daughter Patty Bartlett, and a son Adrian Allaire; granddaughters Amanda Fuller and Tabitha Allaire.

Surviving loved ones include brothers Levi Allaire, Raymond Allaire, and a sister Rachel Towers; daughters Annette Willey and husband Dennis of Woodbury, Yvette Stevens of East Hardwick, Jeannette Chalifoux and husband Keeno of Irasburg, Terry Cota and husband Brian of Hardwick, Carmel Allaire and companion Ron Forant of Hardwick, Barbara Murray and husband James of Elmore, sons Gerald Allaire of Wolcott and Ronald Allaire of Arlington; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life for Norman "Pops" will be announced at a later date; the family would love to see all that can make it and share some of our loved Normans "Pops" stories.
