Kathy E. Carroll-Rodgers

HARDWICK: Kathy Ellen Carroll-Rodgers, 68, of Hardwick died June 9, 2023, at Copley Hospital in Morrisville.

She was born August 19, 1954, in Rochester, New York; the daughter of John Henry Oldenburg, Jr, and Beverly Ruth (Bentley)Oldenburg. She attended Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Fl. and graduated from Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Vt.

Kathy was employed for many of her working years in the retail business in Woodstock, as a clerk and store manager. She also was an office worker, bookkeeper, and secretary.

She was a member of the Woodstock Choir; she enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles and horseback riding,

She was a very talented writer of poetry, essays, and children's books. She was a music lover and often wrote her own songs. Kathy was a very kind lady who loved to laugh and will be missed by her family and close friends.

Survivors include: her companion, Edwin Hough II, of Hardwick; two children, Jonathan Carroll of Florida, and Angela J. Carroll of Vermont; a sister, Dale Christensen of, NH; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, a son, Bentley A. Rodgers on November 20, 2022; and two siblings, John Oldenburg III, and Lori Guess.

Graveside Services were held on October 21, 2023, in the Waterbury Center Cemetery in Waterbury.
