Gale A. Squires

CITRUS SPRINGS, FL.: Gale Alma Squires, 73, of Citrus Springs, Fl., formerly of Hardwick, Vermont and Antrim, New Hampshire, died Friday, May 10, 2024, following many years of declining health.  Her husband Dennis was at her side at the time of her passing.

She was born October 20, 1950, in Hardwick, the third of six children born to the late Ellis A. and Lillian (Hill) Richardson.  She graduated from Hardwick Academy in the class of 1968 and continued her education at Johnson State College in Johnson, Vt.

On July 12, 1969, she married Dennis Richard Squires at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Hardwick, and they shared 54 loving years together. They made their first home in Hardwick, Vt. before relocating to Antrim, NH where they raised their two daughters.

Gale worked for Ames Department Store where she began her career in Barre Vt. before relocating to the Peterborough, NH location as the Store Manager. She took great pride in her work and held many accomplishments throughout her 25-year career.

Gale enjoyed dancing, sunny days on the beach, traveling, her dogs Tyler and Jessie and above all, her family. She found great love and comfort from her husband during her years of declining health.

Survivors include: her beloved husband Dennis Squires of Citrus Springs, FL.; two daughters, Allison Wildes and her husband, Walter, and Nichole Faulkner and her husband Jonathan, all of Antrim, NH., four grandchildren, Maxwell Wildes,  Katherine Wing,  Kyle Nutter  and Kelsey Nutter; a step grandson Maxwell Faulkner; two great grandchildren, Everlyn and Addileigh Wing; five siblings, Brenda Bolieu, Dian Holcomb, and Gary Richardson and his companion, Cindy Moulton, all of Hardwick, Michael Richardson and his wife Tanya, of Homosassa, Fl. and Mary Thompson and her husband, William "Bill" Thompson of Greensboro Bend and Florida; one aunt Lorriane Hill of Hardwick, several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

She was predeceased by infant twin girls in 1972 and her parents.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2024, 6-8-PM at Northern Vermont Funeral Home, 60 Elm Street, Hardwick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Mary Queen of all saints Parish, St. Norbert's Church location, South Main Street Hardwick, with Father Raj Madri celebrant. Burial will be in the family plot in the Fairview Cemetery in Hardwick,
