Earl M. Albright Jr.

WOLCOTT/GREENSBORO: Earl Marion Albright Jr., 80, formerly of Wolcott died Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Greensboro Nursing Home.

He was born June 19, 1945, in Altamont, NY; the son of the late Earl M. Albright Sr., and Catherine (Martin) Albright. He graduated from Cambridge public schools and continued his education at Johnson State College.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the Vermont Army National Guards.  During 1967 and 1968, Earl and his brother David, both served a tour of Duty in Vietnam. They both received injuries during a bombing, and both lived.   Earl was honorably discharged on September 12, 1969.

In 1970, he married Jacqueline Gadgue. She died January 22, 1998.

Earl was employed by IBM in Essex for 43 years. Later, he opened his own business "Heavenly Rocks".  He took great pleasure in collecting precious stones, panning for gold, collecting fish fossils and anything fossilized. He was a quiet man who enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors Include: two daughters, Tara Grundy and her husband Ray, of MA., Jennifer Ploof and her husband David, of Winooski; five grandchildren Hannah and Dylan Ploof, Markita Coderre, Damion Lyman, and Stefan Buzzle; a brother James R. Albright, Sr. of Hardwick;  nieces Katherine Albright, and Megan Albright and nephews James Albright, Jr., Michael Albright, Emil Albright and Hugh Albright.

Earl was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law David and Sandy Albright.

Spring Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at 1 PM., on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Northern Vermont Funeral Service, 60 Elm Street, Hardwick with Pastor Avril Cochran officiating.
