Barbara E. Keene

EAST HARDWICK: Barbara Evelyn "Barb" Keene ,69, of East Hardwick, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at North Country Hospital and Health Center in Newport.

She was born January 28, 1956, in Hardwick; the daughter of the late Everett and Theresa (Fisk) Keene. She graduated from Hazen Union School, in the class of 1974.

In her earlier years she was employed at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. She later worked for many years at the Manor in Morrisville as a nurse's aide and until she retired, she was employed by Lamoille County Mental Health. Barb loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed auto racing, at Thunder Road in Barre and Riverside in New Hampshire as well as traveling to Maine.

Survivors include: two sons, Kory and Terra Keene of Morrisville, Kevin Keene and April Audet of Hardwick:  two sisters, Brenda Beaupre of Hardwick and Jill Keene of East Hardwick; five grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, Jacob, Aria and Aleah, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Edward Keene, and Pamela Harshman, and her longtime partner Nathan Spaulding.

To honor Barb's request there will be no public Services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, 198 Farr Avenue, Morrisville, VT. 05661.
