Arthur L. Valliere

SOUTH WALDEN, VT: Arthur L. Valiere, 77, of South Walden, formerly of New Bedford, MA, died peacefully, November 3, 2020 at his South Walden residence.

He was born February 21, 1943 in New Bedford, MA, the son of the late Frank and Violet (Bernard)Valliere. He attended Normandin Jr. High School in New Bedford.

On June 28, 1960 he entered the US Maine Corps. He served his country in Okinawa and California. Corporal Valliere was honorable discharged on June 25, 1965 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Arthur married Suzanne M. Davis on May 31, 1987 in New Bedford.

He was employed by Fire Stone, later Chamberlin Manufacturing in New Bedford. The plant closed in 1988. From 1988-1998, Arthur continued his working years as a self- employed property manager. Later he worked in the environmental Services Department of Morton Hospital. In 2000, Arthur and Suzanne retired to Vermont, where they have since made their home during the summer months and wintered Florida. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends, as well as playing cards, deep sea fishing with his brother, traveling to visit his sister in Florida and enjoying a day at Disney, cruises in the Caribbean and bowling.

Survivors include: his wife, Suzanne of South Walden; two siblings, Raymond Valliere of Miami, Fl. and Simone Siskin of West Palm Beach, FL.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
