Albert E. Boyce

HYDE PARK: Albert Everett Boyce, 65, of Hyde Park died Sunday July14, 2024, at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, following a courageous battle with cancer. His loving family was at his side.

He was born March 5, 1959, in Morrisville; the son of the late Everett A. Boyce and Nancy (Robarge) Eldred.

He attended Lamoille Union School. Following his education, Albert was employed by Pike Industries, the Talc Mines in Johnson for more than 5 years.  He drove trucks for Formular 1 Feeds for more than seventeen years. Albert was also a truck driver for Suburban Propane in Morrisville, and Harrison Concrete in Hyde Park. He retired in 2020.

On May 27, 1978, he married Judith Diane Smith at Puffer Methodist Church in Morrisville. They lived their married life in Lamoille County and following retirement they enjoyed many winter months in Florida.

Albert was a member of the Hyde Park Fire Department for more than 20 years. He enjoyed working on old cars, rebuilding old motors and home repairs. Albert also enjoyed his last winter in Florida and going to Flea Markets.  He also enjoyed his summers camping, sitting around the campfire and Sunday morning breakfast with family and friends.

He loved time with his family and enjoyed the company of close friends, Scott & Laurie Gillispie of Eden, Bob Dulcey and Parker Claiv of Enosburg, and Joseph Sheffield of Hyde Park.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include: his stepfather, Gordon Eldred, his loving  wife of 46 years, Judith Boyce, two children, Anthony M. Boyce, all  of Hyde Park and   Amanda Boyce and  Matt Sleeper of Morrisville, two stepchildren, Christopher Touchette and Laura Touchette, both of Hyde Park;  three sisters, Lori (Roger) Lathrop of Hyde Park, Sarah (Tim) Shedd of Creedmoor NC.,  and Holly and  (Bob) Desnoyers of Mechanicville, NY; stepsisters Rhoda (Pete) Vis, Darlene (Merl) Grabowski, and Patty Hammond; a stepbrother Paul (Brandie) McAllister: six grandchildren: Savanah and Avery Boyce, Chase and Hunter Sleeper, Adam and Vanessa Touchette; and many  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

To honor his request, there will be no public services at this time.
